The Guyanese Pine Tart! So delicious and tasty! From the moment I laid eyes on it, I couldn’t wait to take my first tasty bite. I remember it from the beginning all the way to end; tangy, sweet, tart and tasty, just how I imagined it would be. I was lucky enough to learn the art of making Pine Tart and other Guyanese pastries while on my recent visit to Guyana in August of 2022. I could eat 100 of them in a row sadly there aren’t a lot of Pine Tarts here at home.

About Me:
My name is David Hoffmann. For the last 13 years, I have traveled the world in search of unique destinations and cuisines. Since starting David’s Been Here in 2008, I have explored over 1,300 destinations in 94 countries, while documenting them on my YouTube channels, travel blog, and social media sites.
I focus mostly on cuisine, culture, and historical sites, but my passion is food! I love to experience and showcase the different flavors each destination has to offer, from casual street food to gourmet restaurant dining.
