Perfect for Fritay Friyayyy 🔥 or breakfast. Pate Kòde is a Haitian Street delicacy that is easy to make and delicious. Have some Kenyan Sausage and fried those as well and they were delicious 🤤

You will need the following:
* Dry fish. I use mackerel because I didn’t have smoke herring.
* Sliced onions
* Goya empanadas dough
* Coleslaw bag or just cabbage 🥬
* Vinegar
* Lime
* Habanero
* Onion
* Bell peppers (optional)

Mackerel fish
* Wash with cold water with lime or vinegar. Drain and set aside.
* In a small hot pan on medium heat, add some olive oil. Then, your diced onions and stir.
* Add some PIKLIZ or just shredded cabbage. Then, add mackerel fish then sprinkle some Adobo All Purpose Seasoning and chicken bouillon. Add some habanero and set aside to add to the dough later.

PIKLIZ
* Coleslaw bag take out the purple vegetable out. Or leave them. I take mine out. OR
* You can also do this from scratch it taste a lot better. You will need 1/2 thinly sliced cabbage, cut crosswise 2-3 times for shorter shreds. 1-2 grated carrots. 1/2 yellow onions or 1 shallots thinly sliced. 2-3 habanero or scotch bonnet peppers thinly sliced.
* Add 1 tbsp kosher salt, chicken bouillon, black pepper. Flavor it up 🆙
* 2-3 cups of fresh lime juice and 1/2 distilled vinegar.
* Wait a few hours before using it.
* The best PIKLIZ is aged for about a month. Haitians use this on every meat 😂🤗. It’s a staple in my home.

Empanadas or Pate
* Take your empanadas dough and add mackerel mix and eggs.
* Close it up and use a fork to sealed it
* Add oil to medium frying pan and add in your pate and flip it after a few minutes. Do pay attention to how hot the grease is. It will cook quickly and you need to flip it in order not to burn it.
* Enjoy 😊
