Restaurants, food outlets and food vendors that provide fast food in Trinidad and Tobago are as essential as life itself. These establishments not only provide work and growth in the economy but they relieve stress for the many people that patronize their food venues. Laughter, a lime, ole’ talk and more are all part of grabbing something to eat. No matter if it is a roti, doubles, creole food or junk food Trinis love to have that warm sensation of food catered for their taste buds.

Sadly, for far too long people who own restaurants or are part of the food industry have not been able to earn a living for months because of restrictions placed on them due to the pandemic. You can go around many areas of the country and see once thriving business closed for good as they could no longer pay rent or their workers. Opening restaurants and allowing street food vendors to sell what they cook is more than just allowing people to eat as this video will show.
