Hey guys! Today I’m switching it up a bit with a short video showing you how I make Jamaica’s national dish – ACKEE AND SALTFISH w/ boiled dumplin!

So, I figured I’d show y’all another side of me, which is me throwing down in the kitchen making one of my favorite dishes. How to make:
SALTFISH:
•Boil boneless saltfish until tender
•Strain and repeat
•Break it up into pieces and set aside
DUMPLIN:
•Kneed together flour, salt and water and form/flatten to your desired shape. Add to boiling water
ACKEE:
•Add sliced onions, chopped scallion (green onion) and diced tomatoes to a hot, oiled pan
•Mix well
•Season with black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, garlic & herb seasoning, old bay, pimento
•Add saltfish to pan and mix together
•Strain ackee from tin and add to pan
•Add one whole scotch bonnet pepper (optional)
•Mix together carefully so that it doesn’t get mushy
•Season to taste
•Serve with dumplin
