Sadly, Arthur Smith, the owner of Art Mel’s passed away in April of 2016.

Art Mel’s fish sandwich has been mentioned and featured in Garden & Gun magazine on numerous occasions.
Here is one mention: http://gardenandgun.com/articles/bermuda-where-to-eat-and-drink/

Here are the ingredients I used:
About 2 Pounds of Mahi Mahi (but snapper or Wahoo is best)
1 Egg
12 Oz. Evaporated Milk (you can sub regular milk)
1 Cup Flour
1 Cup Cornflake Crumbs
2 T Paprika
Salt and Pepper
Raisin Bread
Coleslaw
Tartar Sauce
Hot Sauce
Shredded Cheddar Cheese (optional, I have read some people get cheese on their sandwich)
Lettuce
Tomato

If you do not want to make your own raisin bread, you can easily substitute pre-sliced cinnamon raisin bread, found at most grocery stores, but the thickness will not be like Art Mel’s. I have found the pre-made cinnamon raisin breads to be a sliced much thinner. Where I live, it is hard to find a loaf of regular raisin bread, not already sliced. :)
